About Our Pastor
Pastor Terrell Taylor is a native of Los Angeles, California. He has received his educational training in the Southern California basin where he graduated from Morningside High School in Inglewood, California. He attended El Camino College in Torrance, California where he studied Criminology. Shortly afterwards, the Lord redirected Pastor Taylor’s path and called him to the ministry. Pastor Taylor attended California Baptist College in Riverside to prepare himself to preach and teach God’s Word. Pastor Terrell Taylor received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Education at Bible Believers College and Seminary on June 16, 2009. He also received his Master of Religious Education from Bible Believers College and Seminary on June 19th, 2010.
Pastor Terrell Taylor was called to preach God’s Word in 1980 under the leadership of Dr. Manuel L. Scott Jr, where he was licensed to preach at Park Windsor Baptist Church. Pastor Terrell Taylor began his servant hood as a Youth minister and worked with the Evangelism team called “Fire Starters”. Under the leadership of his spiritual father in the ministry, Dr. William Thurmond, Pastor Taylor began to learn how to be a servant, follower, leader, pastor and administrator. Also, under Dr. Thurmond leadership, Pastor Taylor worked in the capacity of Young Adult minister. In 1992 Pastor Taylor was ordained to preach the gospel. Pastor Taylor also served as Youth minister at Metropolitan Baptist Church for 3 years, under the leadership of Pastor Frank J. Hardy.
In his ministry, he accepted the calling for pastorship for three churches. In 1990, Pastor Terrell Taylor served as the Senior Pastor of True Friendship Baptist Church in Inglewood, California in which he served for four years. In 2004, Pastor Taylor accepted the call to serve as Senior Pastor of the Traveler Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California in which he served for six years. In September 2010, Pastor Terrell Taylor began serving as the Senior Pastor of Park Windsor Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California. Pastor Taylor is no stranger to the Park Windsor family as he grew up in the church as a young boy.
Pastor Taylor is married to his high school sweetheart, Regina Taylor. Pastor Taylor is a devoted husband and father.
Pastor Taylor has taken the gospel nationally and internationally on the mission field to New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Tahiti, and Hawaii where he trained churches in discipleship and evangelism.
Pastor Terrell Taylor’s life theme is a skillful tapestry of spiritual attributes, woven together with his passion for God’s Word coupled with his love for God’s people. He has a contagious spirit of generosity that overflows throughout every facet of his ministry.
Pastor Taylor’s Vision for the church is uncompromisingly clear, with one central principle “to build and develop a kingdom of empowered people for God that are rooted into God’s Word”. Pastor Taylor’s pastoral scripture and dedication in Isaiah 50:4, “The Lord God has given me His Word of wisdom so that I may know what I should say to all these weary ones. Morning by morning, he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will”.
Most importantly, Pastor Terrell Taylor is a man called of God unto salvation and called by God to lead and preach the gospel to his people.
The motto that Pastor Taylor exemplifies for the Park Windsor family is “A Church of Inclusion and Not Exclusion”.
